Jam restrictions

Genre - Escape room

  • I believe the game is quite obviously trying to be a place where you unlock room after room.

Theme - Glass door

  • The door via which you go between rooms is made of glass.

Wildcard - A helpful obstacle

  • Rooms are tied together, what was an obstacle in the previous room holds a useful tool for a future room.

Ingredient - A repeated sound

  • Walking steps, light switches that click, keys twist when things are unlocked.

AI note

I do not use generative AI. However i do ask Gemini about certain things. I've asked it about search queries for SFX and where is the bug in my scene or code (not fix it, just find it).

Known bugs

During jam development it is difficult to pinpoint any bug as they constantly appear and i fix them. However here are some that remain:

  • Unfinished game - Yes i consider this a bug, i got more cool room ideas and no time!
  • Some objects phase through the ground - Especially the drawer door that falls off.
  • Weird mouse capture - If your mouse is acting weird in the browser game, press M. This frees it when the menu is opened and captures it again when the menu is closed.
  • Running (Ctrl) and walking forward (W) means you press Ctrl+W which closes the browser window. Use Shift instead.
  • Some browsers cause SharedArrayBuffer error for the web game, this is being investigated.
